Cosmic Supreme Tour
Pomona, CA - Glass House - 5/15/25
We land at 730am and I get up and get sorted and meet my friend Christie for coffee and vegan donuts (Donut Friends rules!) and its good hangs, we’ve been workin on a book via satellite and its rad to actually get up and brainstorm in person. Gonna be a cool day! Always wanted to gig here. The Slackers were just here yesterday and Aquabats are here tomorrow! We get all loaded and start setting up. Nice big room and nice big stage and everything is goin easy. So many rad records shops and pinball spots around here but nothing opens til 5! Wake up Pomona, I have needs. Big room fills up and I’m stoked to hit it. When ya walk out on the dark stage and get a pop from the crowd before ya even play a note ya know its gonna be a good night and man that always gets a big smile on my face. We drop into Mercury and starting off the set with a big massive fuzz bass shred is so fun, good subs tonight and Gage has it cookin. I stomp my delay pedal on to start Monsters but apparently I didn’t…. And the first note that’s sposed to be all “doo doo doo doo” was just “…..doo”. Just me hanging out there like a dweeb. Woops! I stomp it right and we’re back in vibe town but I have to acknowledge my shame by looking up at the band dudes who are all laughing. Rightfully so! We’re at the point where everyones got the set down so good that any minor mistake stands out like you blew an airhorn and you will be laughed at during load out hahahah, but that’s showbiz baby. Good yammers with fellow wrestling fans at merch, I get gifted a Penta Luchador enamel pin!!!! Sick. Bus has to park a block away and we get the word it won’t move back for load out so brutal sweaty push to the boat but the venue crew helps mucho and the circus heads on.
San Diego, CA - SOMA - 5/14/25
Heyyyyyy we made it to the West Coast. Fun Fact, dunno if you guys know this, but scientifically the East Coast is the best coast. But hey still cool to be here I GUESS. I kid I kid. Day off yesterday in El Paso and it was stupid hot and there was a really crazy dust storm goin on, so gettin out the boat here in San Diego and its breezy and 65 degrees and I’m wearing a hoodie is all collectively blessing my heart…..which contains mostly dust from yesterday. Doozie load in today cos it’s almost a full block away to push but we knock it out as we do. SOMA tonight which we’ve gig’d before and its always a good gig, interesting stage and back stage so zachy and the boys have to get creative on the set up but honestly I kinda love the stage here. I Postmates Del Taco cos I’m only human and am a zombie from being in 3 different time zones in three days but still had a rad show! Brother Chase is the photog man starting today and he’s rad (but don’t tell him I said that). I this point it gets easy to rinse and repeat but we still talk through the set and try and tweak and keep things interesting. You can prac and prac (we did 5 prac days before we left) but you really don’t know what does and doesnt work in a set until youre infront of a crowd. The songs that get a big pop and the ones people check out during are always interesting to me! But hey we’re here to serve short order cook style like the Waffle House of our homeland. We load out and the club boss shows me there’s a door that goes directly from merch to right next to the trailer instead of having to push around the block and I stare into the void and Hello Darkness My Old Friend plays and I thank him and have an easy load out. Its good to be back in California (not since 2022!) and I clock out happy.
Dallas, TX - Ferris Wheelers 5/12/25
Wake up in Dallas in a big parking lot for tonights gig, Ferris Wheelers, which…..they do have……a ferris wheel. Outdoor gig today and it is TOASTY already. I shamble over to Dennys solo. The waitress calls me “honeybuns” several times, which is now my new thing, please call me that. Tricky load in and set up scenario today and its crazy hot so we are all immediately mucho sweaty and poppin off shirts. At this point in a tour we’re a well oiled machine, but then there’s always a day like this that keeps ya on your toes! Just roasting at merch and worried about vinyl melting, but hey that’s showbiz, baby. The Citizens boys hit and they are in direct sun as its goin down which is always a doozie, but thankfully FOR US its down when we hit and its beautifullllllllllll. String lights and big ferris wheel and a stoked crowd. Some little tech issuesuues here and there but I had a great set, we’'re really cookin on this set and me and Al are gettin creative and havinga lot of fun. Shred then merch and lots of kind words from the Dallas peoples, and pack it upppppppp. Even though we pay for the merch to be designed, printed, shipped, stored, and sold…..I give the venue their merch cut. They earned it, ya know? Sarah’'s last gig with her for a bit and she flies out in the AM so we says bye for now, she will be missed mucho! Challenging sweaty day but as always we have way too much fun. Day off tomorrow in El Paso so we can get some rest and I’m stoked to zonk.
San Antonio, TX, Sams Burger Joint - 5/11/25
Stoked to wake up and see we are already here at 930am. 4th gig for me here so I know the area pretty well and know there’s killer grub and coffee real close. Get dressed quick and find an amazing spot that mostly makes chilaquiles and chow solo outside and the weather is amazing (for now! It’s gonna be like 103degrees in a few days) and then head over to grab coffee and see the rest of the Panthers. Good yammers and vibes, it’s Mothers Day and everyone is out and about and so many dogs too and I miss my Hanky Boy big time. Longest I’ve been away from him since we adopted him was two weeks and this tour is a month and he probably thinks I’m dead by now and that totally doesn’t make me wanna cry. Brother Hank saved my life mucho during those early days of shut down, made me get outta bed and walk em and make sure he didn’t poop everywhere and eat my records when I definitely didn’t wanna get outta bed everyday, so we bonded hard and it sucks not seeing his squish face everyday. But hey dog food is expensive so I gotta work the road! Easy load in, cramped merch space, small green room, decent stage, solid day. We get all set up and me and Al hoof a little down the river walk and grab a bite. Always a rad show here and seeing lots of familiar faces and friends from the road over the years. I lost a pair of in ear monitors here on a fly date and the production manager at the time says he didn’t see em (didn’t look at all most likely) so I always look around when I’m here cos that’d be hilarious if I found em 6 years later, but oh well, rad sweaty show and no seats tonight and the energy was killer. When I say that afterwards we laughed harder than I have in 20 years I would not be exaggerating. You know when you just get the joy and every little thing that would normally just be kinda funny makes you laugh to tears alll doubled over? Me and the band guys had that for about an hour and my face hurt. I go to bed real happy.
Austin TX, The 04 Center - 5/10/25
We drop anchor at 1230ish and have load in at 1pm, so, right to work! Hey though man that’s cool, happy to be out doin this. Nice people here and the load goes quick and we all get to work at our little jobs. Crazy storm rolls through and keeps on rollin and its blue skies again. Texas be Texas’n. This pad is cool, it’s like an old church but they got a bar and do lots of rad gigs it looks like. Seats again but no tables at the front of the stage atleast. Al is back on drums after flying home and we hit a song or two and it’s feeling good. As of today I feel like we got that good tour flow of having the day and the set down to the point of not having to think about it as much so its easier to get lost in the music and have a killer time…also easier to space out and botch a part if youre not careful, but tryin new things here and there every night musically helps keep me sharp, Al always does the same on drums so its always “OH what if tonight we tried this?!’ And that keeps everything fun for us atleast. Once I hit this kinda spot mentally I can do 30 shows in a row…..mentally and emotionally anyway….my legs and back appreciate a day off cos these load ins are a doozie. Me and the boys find some grub and a really cool rock n roll shop that reminds me of 90’s Myrtle Beach mucho. Walls of punk and metal and horror movie merch and stickers and patches. Nobody had band shirts for sale in Hartsville growing up so id get so stoked to go to the beach every summer and get a Black Flag or Descendents shirt. I snagged some Iggy Pop stickers obviously. Rad show! Citizens are just steamrollin every night and gettin people singin loud, really great guys that work really hard too, no rock stars on this bus and I’m always grateful for that. People that pack their egos to bring with them on tour and me don’t usssssuallllllly get along. I could tell ya some stories!! BUT I DIGRESS. Good set, boys. Our turn and its cookin. Nice big stage and a little drum riser I can jump on all night…..and then trip over like three times…..I never said I was graceful. Lawn chairs in the parking lot after and we yammer late. Love doin this.
Houston, TX - Heights Theater - 05/09/25
Wellll Alllrriiiight, we’re in Texas. Drop anchor around 11:30am and we go find some food. Tryin hard to be a healthy boy on the road and find a salad but the boys TWIST MY ARM and we get Torchys Tacos (it doesn’t take much convincing) and Jenni’s Ice Cream (even less convincing) and hit a record shop and then its load in time. 4th time I’ve done this venue if I’m not mistaken and its always a pretty easy day. Dom is filling in on drums for Al who had to fly home for his kids graduation, super cool of him and really glad Al can be there. So that means Dom is jumping in without a real prac, we just had Gage record a set and bounce it over to em, but Dom is a freakin steamroller and comes locked and loaded. We hit a couple with em just to tighten up some transitions and then the star of the show Sarah get in just in time from CLT and we hit a couple of her tunes and finalize the set list. We thought we’d have to cut Monsters Talk but we can make it fit, Dom wasn’t expecting that one but of course learns it and is ready for the gig. Manager man Richard and his family stop by and bring us cookies (which last about 2 seconds) and the new vinyl which we didn’t have the first two gigs. They turned out siiiiiiick. Really proud of my bass parts on there. Citizens hit and sound great and then its our turn. Seated shows can be tricky, which this one is, not bad but not always as much energy. sometimes the front row was like give away tickets to people that barely know you and look bored and a few rows behind them are the fans singing along and looking stoked(I kid thee not once on tour opening for NeedToBreathe this guy say with his back to me and read a newspaper the whole set) but thankfully tonight that wasent the case. Good vibes for sure. Haven’t got to play with Brother Dom in a few months and we are locked in and have a blast. We’ve done so many shows together that even without a real prac we can read each other and bring the rhythm section strong. Meet lots of great people at merch and go to settle up with the gig pad boss and he has a dog who I of course asked to pet and he said “nah he might bite you, he’s a street dog.” Me too buddy, me too. Another night staying up way too late laughing and telling stories, If you know me you know I have little to no volume control so I get my nightly “can y’all keep it down?” Text and say bye to Dom cos he flies out early in the AM.
Wake up in Birmingham, Al in front of The Workplay. Great spot and stoked to be back. Birmingham has a lot of great rooms, Iron City and The Saturn always rule too. Wordplay is a lovely easy day for load in and big merch area and mucho green rooms with showers anda great crew and stage and a coffee shop on premise so doesn’t get much better….well The Saturn here has a pinball machine but lets not split hairs I guess. Me and the boys hoof around and snag some bar chow and Dom hits us up cos he’s just landed at the venue! Al is shipping home tomorrow to attend his daughters graduation and so Dom is gonna pinch hit for the Houston gig tomorrow and came in a day early to scope the set and the flow of everything. So good to see em! The set list is feeling rad so no tweaks yet. Great crowd as always here! We hit and mucho sing alongs and stoked lookin faces which makes the sweaty load in/out worth it. Man they were SINGIN Monsters Talk, that one really cooked extra. We jam it out at the end cos we don’t want the good times to end. Lots of kind words at merch and we load it up and gotta roll asap cos we got about a 10 hour ride to Houston. Al says bye and flys home as does Dustin the light boss who came to help make sure we got goin good the first couple gigs with other light boss Royce, appreciate Dustin mucho! Even though he doesn’t get Wes Anderson movies. we all yammer and giggle and catch up with brother Dom and everything rules and life is rad.

Atlanta, GA - The Loft - 05/06/25
A few rehearsal days down and button’n everything up to leave for a month and finally all packed up on the boat. Three years since we lost Larry and we have a cheers for em and tell all our funny stories about em and get in the bunk very grateful to be on this tour. Gig 1 is at The Loft in Atlanta, which is a pad with a small, medium, and larger club all on top of each other. Its interesting cos Atlanta has two pads like that, The Masquerade been the other where we did a live Ep at last time we were here (We played the “Hell” room there and I suggested we call the EP “Live From Hell” but i guess they didn’t think that’d work hahah).
Not the easiest day for the first one because load in here is a bit of a bear and we gotta bring all the merch for both bands for the whole tour in to kinda get organized but the crew here is great and we knock it out, can’t forget anything cos the bus gotta park a few few blocks away!
First day of camp and meeting everyone I don’t know and reunited with the Citizens amigos! Haven’t sailed together since we hit Australia in 2019 and it’s great to catch up, rad dudes. Even after mucho practice and thought there’s still always a lot to figure out on day 1 but we’re up and running and start soundcheck and immediately big time inspired at how good it sounds. Tonights gonna rip. before ya know it its go time, Citizens brings it and we got a hefty change over on this run with repatching cables and moving stuff around but we knock it quick and Gage has us ready to cook. We walk out to Coltrane which rules super hard and get a big pop from crowd and man, it’s been a minute, big smiles from me. Great sweaty set and lots of singin along. Atlantas always a great gig for us and I really was hoping we wouldn’t have any bugs to work out so they’d get a good one and I think it ruled….or I had fun anyway…and isn’t that the most important part?!?!!?!!? Sweaty load out and good vibes.
We oddly have a day off immediately the next day, but after a week of prac and errands and packing I definitely need it. Me and some of the boys hit Vortex and bounce around Little 5 Points and we crushed 4 basket of boiled nuts at this dive to officially say bye to the South for 4 weeks and then catch the Braves AND ITS STAR WARS DAY!! They lose 4-3 to the Reds but I got ice cream in a baseball helmet so win/lose/win.
Hey. Jeremy Radio from Thousand Dollar Movie here. We got to open up for mssv (Mike Baggetta, Stephen Hodges, mike watt) a couple of times and it went really well. Both bands aren’t afraid of loud or quiet or improv and I thought it made for a really interesting gig. I asked Baggetta if he’d be into doing a split 7” and he was down but felt we needed a theme. I sent over our song Block Out The Sun and told him a bit about where it was coming from, dealing with grief and the weight of that but trying to look forward with some hope. He wrote Even So based on that, actually using the same harmony and melody from Block Out The Sun! Studios got booked in Charlotte and San Pedro, and the result is a really cool split with a great story, heart, and musical moments, from the spacey cinematic builds of Thousand Dollar Movie to the post-genre guitar of Baggetta with the iconic rhythm section work of Hodges and watt.
Out now on Four Finger Records.

6/29/24 Charlotte NC - Petras
Sometimes ya have a good gig and it was fun and ya have a drink and pack up. Every now and then its extra good and the whole band is on a different level and you feel it deep down in your guts and get home and feel like you gave everything ya had. This release gig was one of the best ones. Very grateful for everyone who was there and all the bands. My favorite TDM show so far.

6/28/24 Columbia SC - New Brookland Tavern
Oh man, first of two release shows tonight. Always a little more nervous doin the outta town gigs but Columbia is always a really cool crowd and historically dig what we do. In my infinite genius i booked my first jazz bass lesson today that will end right before we leave. So after a rad bass sesh and crammin theory in my head, the boys all meet at my pad and we load up in Leos amazing RV and hit the road. Both shows are with Late Bloomer from here in CLT and the mayor of Columbia Ben Walker. We’ve wanted to gig with the Bloomer boys for awhile and Ben is one of my all time favorite songwriters so very stoked they were all down for a weekend run! Mucho traffic but get to the gig pad easy and Ben waves us into a parkin spot. So this is the first time for us at the NEW New Brookland and its really sick!!!! They had to move from the old historic pad and i will miss the nostalgia but this is a way rad room and it sounds killer with a nice big stage. Late Bloomer kicks us off after sound boss Carlin gets it all dialed in. Great songs and great set as always, really dig this band. Thousand Dollar Movie is up next and we start with a few tunes from Give Me A Year and its feelin great. Dom has the sounds of our city on the drum pad for inbetween songs which always brings a cool vibe. We go into the reason for the occasion and play “Birdfeeder” the new piece that just came out. The boys are cookin and its feelin great. The crowd is super quiet for the quiet parts and not yammerin at all which is a big compliment. Really great crowd and we feel very welcome as always in Cola. Ben asked me to work bass for these shows and i cant say no cos its some of my all time favorite songs. We hit next and its such a blast, ive been listening to some of these songs for over 20 years and they mean alot to me. Lookin at the crowd sing along i can tell they mean alot to them too. Locals Flippants close out the night and they are ROWDY!!! What a set! Lots of hangin from the rafters and crowd surfing and you cant look away cos you dont wanna miss anything. We have a sweaty humid load out and hit the road back home. Really great gig.

Our new EP BIrdfeeder Vol 1 is out now on Four Finger Records!
Dom played Nashville last night and lands at 8am, and I totally wasn't having a panic attack over his flight getting cancelled! Zach picks up the boat at 9 (big big thanks to @oceanicofficial for renting us their van!) and we load up at 10 to head to Wilmington. It has a tape deck!! It's been so long since I've been out with one of my projects for more than a day or two and I'm so stoked. That feeling when ya finally get on the interstate after months of booking shows and promo and all the details and emails is always worth it. Deep down happy in the guts. One or two traffic plugs but otherwise smooth sailing and we go straight to Flaming Amy's for the burrito glory. Flaming Amy's is always mandatory!
Hit some record and comic shops and hear from my old road buddy @daltonthomasmusic is playin' down the street tonight too with @brotherelsey, we stop by and turns out they're tourin' the exact same route as us this week! Wild! They sound great.
Get to @reggies42ndstreet and its a rad spot, reminds me alot of Snug Harbor in CLT.
A little hurry up and wait sesh but we get the stage set up and whheewwww its lookin 'good. Thanks to Zachy for gettin' us a back drop made!
Doggy Daycare kindly helped us set up the gig but unfortunately a member is sick and had to drop out, with 24 hours notice @holyheatmusic jumps on board to open and now we’ll headline. It works out! Holy Heat kicks it off and they absolutely rip, monster bassman! Exercise is next and they're a blast, very cool set. We have a longer set than expected so the boys wanna add a new one we’ve been workin' on and I'm a little nervous cos I don't have it super down but life is short, man. We’re gonna play the whole record all the way through every night plus a few more. Boys are playin' great and we get through Cant Help and the new album and straight into Everything Lasts Forever and Zach starts the intro to the new one and I BLANK. Dom's coutin' me off and it clicks and I'm good. Whew. The new one felt RAD. Oh man. Love playin' with these dudes. Lots of kind words at merch and we load it up and roll very grateful.
Pack up and pet all the doggies at zachys parents pad and shove off to Charleston. Got some killlllller grub and matcha and coffee on the way out at Casa Blanca. The route takes us through Myrtle Beach which will never change haha, what a place. We land at 2pm and go straight to a prac pad cos im playin with Ambyr and the boys tonight as well. Rad songs and everyones soundin killer and we head over to Tin roof. Ive been to a few shows here but never worked a gig and its such a rad spot. Everyone that works there was super nice all night. Locals talk about the stage bein small but yall need to get out more haha, thats a good sized stage compared to most CLT clubs. Everyone gets checks and set up real quick and we got plenty of time to hang til go time. Me and Dom get a good van nap in and its gig time!
Ambyr kills it and the songs feel great, havent played with drummerman Justice much since he was a KID and hes a beast and always rad playin with David and Dan. Our turn next and we move a few things around and ready to go! We start with the new one tonight and its a great intro song, then right through the whole Give Me A Year piece, rippppp Everything Lasts Forever and we’re off so Tom Mackle and the boys can close it up. That was a sweaty one! So many kind words at merch while i sling shirts. Love charleston alot.
We get to our hotel for the night and its handicap layout so no bathroom door so we about to get real close as a band 😂😂😂. Watch some South Park and zach starts snoring and sings us all to zonk town.
Get a good sleep in we all needed mucho and head to Taco Boy for lunch before we hit the road. Beautiful freakin day in Charleston and killer tacos per usual. Tons of crazy traffic and rain on the way down but Dom gets us in safe and we head straight to Heroes And Dragons for Doms ninja turtle search and then to Transmission Baracde for some grub and pinball before load in.
Stoked to hit New Brookland Tavern today as they are moving in December and it’ll be our last show on this stage. Been workin this room in different bands and coming to shows here since I was a kid! Glad they will continue in a new spot though.
As soon as we start to load the bottom drops out. Get it all in quick and then the hail starts! Holy moly. The mssv crew (Mike Baggetta, Stephen Hodges, Mike Watt and Miss Hiyori) just rolled up too and its so great to see em all again! Beyond excited to open for them tonight. We all get set up and spiel and catch up and its not too long until show time. Brother Leo could only make this gig on the run and its so great to have him doing his thing with us tonight.
We’re kick it off first tonight and people are super cool and come check us out. We play the record plus Everything Lasts and Pencils Down the new one and just enough time to squeeze in Sweet + Low by Fugazi. Look over and see Mike Watt was catching our set! very rad! He has kind words for the band guys after too. I asked him to sign my bass and we yammer for awhile and its always an honor. Brandy And The Butcher are on after us and they were amazing! Rad local cats. mssv takes it next and everyones jaw is on the floor. Theyre an absolute masterclass in dynamics. Absolute steamroller.
Right before they end the hotel I booked this afternoon OVER THE PHONE called and said they didn’t have any rooms and the person that booked us made a mistake. Welp. We say our byes The legendary Ben Walker is there and offers his couches thankfully and keeps us from sleeping in the van. We hang a little too late and laugh an appropriate amount.
We pop early at Bens house and he makes us coffee cos hes the sweetest baby angel to ever live and we hit the road. Atleast once a tour one must make a bad decision and ours is now.
Wafflehouse.
We have to drop off the boat in CLT (THANKS AGAIN @oceanicofficial !!!!) and pile into Doms suv to finish it out. Thankfully there was enough time to stop by the pad to take a quick nap and we’re off.
@monstercade_bar is always a rad gig. Double duty again tonight workin bass for TDM and @crenshawpentecostal. Super stoked to see those boys! We hit a weird cat coffee shop and smelled the way youd think and hit a few balls at an arcade and we head over. This is our 4th show but we all had tours last week leading up to it and not much sleep so everyones feelin it today. I get some pizza delivered and its go time.
The always amazing @mikbrew is kickin things off. Really dig his music and also him in general! We’re up next and we bring the new record plus a few more. Had to bring my smaller amp tonight and no monitors so definitely missing my ampeg rig but we play great nonetheless! Smaller room/crowd but everyone here is very rad to scope us. I slide all my gear back for Crenshaw next and we pile on stage/infront of it and bring the crazy loud rock set. Felt like a 90s punk show and i was grinnin the whole time. Love those boys. My knees are feelin it haha. We are all zonked so pack it up pretty quick for our thankfully short drive back to CLT.
Got get in late from Winston and hibernate until we head to Tommys. Its an all day local festival called East Side Holiday with indoor and outdoor bands all day. We roll over around 3 just to check out bands and hang but we dont play til 630. Really great seein everyone, feels like ive been gone for months haha.
Easy day, everyone is stickin to the set times and it’s cruisin. We hit at 630 and i look up and its packed with tons of good friends and favorite people and im a grateful dude.
We burn through the record plus Everything Lasts and jamie gives the word we can play some more so we end with Pencils Down. Great crowd!! Load out super fast so the show can keep goin on and sling a ton of merch (tour shirts all sold!) and get all the kind words and im home and in bed at 830. Beyond exhausted but ending the run with that gig at home has me feelin very happy in my guts.
